Full Moon Energy Reading

August 28, 2026

After this week’s energy forecast turned out to be the equivalent of a dump truck pulling up to your house and filling the front yard with juicy garbage and sewer runoff, I hesitated to even look at the Full Moon…the Full Moon this week being known as the Sturgeon Moon (the sturgeon that were all dead, in the dump truck and now on your lawn no doubt,) the BLOOD MOON, and the lunar eclipse moon. Also it’s in Pisces, so drop the rake and run back inside sobbing; you’re never ever ever going to get this yard cleaned up again!

It’s that extreme on the socials, from the astrologers. They are wild for this moon and its promises. No, not, “Here is a huge welcome basket, greetings from your sunny future!” promise; more of a, “Karma is coming and splits and fissures and time lines separating and where the rubber hits the road and if you have been good,  you will eventually like it but if you have not been, then toodle-doo, dope!” promise.

Big changes ahead, they say. What do the cards say?

Like our weekly reading, four of these five cards are reversed; trust me when I tell you, just go read the weekly spread again. Same, same. Lots of fruitless lashing out, self-pity, bad habits getting in the way of positive change, and sulking.

Except for one, the Knight of Pentacles, and I am so glad to see him. Let’s discuss.

All the knights are passionate; all the knights are in need of tasks to keep them occupied. They are hard enough to manage when they are focused on something, but a knight without a specified job is a disaster.

So here we are, in a week with morose energy potential and low hanging vibrational clouds threatening to smother us, and the light flashing in the distance is the sun glinting off the Knight of Pentacles’ shovel that he’s got lashed to the back of his saddle.

That’s our anchor, our solid surface to hang on to if we find things shifting uncomfortably under our feet. Pentacles is work based on the foundational elements of food, money, and shelter. Having them, keeping them, maintaining them, and sharing them judiciously.

Knight of Pentacles’ energy is absolutely begging you to turn him loose on something meaningful to you, foundationally. Keep your head down and task focused, and try to ignore the contention, injured entitlement, and complaining you hear for the next two weeks.

Isn’t that the hardest lesson? That the world can, and does, fall apart and there is little we can do for it? That’s both the good news and the bad news; you can’t do a thing about the greater world. But in your kingdom, you can be a knight, and knights get things done regardless of what is happening beyond the walls of the keep.
