- Thinking About the Reading: Questions for Journaling or Reflection
How quickly September is passing! If only our weather would reflect the autumn season, too. No shortage of reflection from the cards about our energy forecast, though:

- 6 of Pentacles reversed
- The Emperor reversed
- Justice reversed
- The Tower
- 8 of Cups reversed
Oh, for God’s sake.
So let me tell what this week is not – it is not a week fueled by energy that would allow us to manage our business handily and fairly, move things along on their proper course, and find the fortitude to put old matters behind us.
No, instead we get the Tower; which is the opposite of all of the above. The Tower is upheaval, not resolution, and the chaos of the moment while we take cover; then the initial effort to understand what has happened, peering back at the smoking rubble.
Cards that would normally indicate forward motion, the 6 of Pentacle, Justice, 8 of Cups, and even our busy and always on the go Emperor are completely off the board. Remember that; events that are big enough to rearrange our affairs, like the Tower, are sometimes framed in a way that prompts quick action in response.

But I can’t see how that is forecast in this spread, with the cards surrounding the Tower being reversed. So our Towers won’t be swiftly dealt with. It could be messy. You’ll do better if you lose the expectation of a speedy clean up.
Tower moments come when systems and architectures are no longer feasible, and collapse under their own weight. If you have a weighty and destabilizing event this week, you can at least take comfort in the understanding that it was meant to be, and ultimately what leaves your life with this Tower will leave you better for it.
Questions for Journaling or Reflection:
Where in my life do systems, routines, or structures currently feel unstable or “no longer feasible,” and how can I release the expectation of a quick, clean resolution?
In what areas am I struggling to manage things fairly, maintain balanced give-and-take, or exercise steady authority right now?
What old matters, emotional attachments, or situations am I finding it hard to walk away from or put behind me?
If a destabilizing “Tower” event occurs (or is already underway), how can I emerge better for it—even if the process feels messy and slow?
